- Stick to your cleaning schedule. You’ll be able to take good care of your hardwood floors if you vacuum when needed, and use your dry mop when you see dust patches. Mopping once a week should be enough, so set a cleaning schedule and stick to it. One thing to remember about hardwood floors – they don’t need to be spotless all of the time.
Tip: when purchasing a mop, search out one which has been made with microfibers. Microfibers won’t shed onto your clean floor. After mopping your floor, the last thing you need is to try to clean up mop hairs too.
