4. Slipperiness - Finally, you’ll want to think about safety. Slipping on hard flooring is never going to be a nice experience, but you need to be extra careful in the kitchen. After all, you might end up slipping while carrying a jug of boiling water, which can turn an inconvenient fall into serious burns. Unfortunately, marble possesses a very low coefficient of friction; in layman’s terms, it is very slippery to walk on, particularly when polished. Porcelain tiles are a little rougher, so you won’t be nearly as likely to lose your footing.
